MULTIPLE ARREST MADE AFTER WATEBRURY POLICE INVESTIGATE ILLEGAL LIQUOR OPERATION

On February 13, 2026, officers from the Waterbury Police Department’s Crime Prevention Unit, Vice and Intelligence Unit, Auto Theft Task Force, and Patrol Division executed a search warrant at 36 Gasparri Lane (Spedy Customs Social Club) following numerous noise complaints and ongoing quality-of-life concerns.

The Waterbury Fire Marshal’s Office also responded and identified multiple safety violations, determining that the warehouse is not permitted to be occupied or used at this time.
During the investigation, officers seized the following items:

• $5,277 in U.S. currency
• Liquor, beer, and cocktails

The following individuals were arrested and charged with the following offenses:

Interfering with a Search Warrant

Melissa Santiago, 55, of Waterbury
Interfering with a Search Warrant
Disposing of Liquor Without a Permit

Exsatamara Gonzalez, 44, of Derby
Interfering with a Search Warrant
Disposing of Liquor Without a Permit

Hector Rodriguez-Ruiz, 43, of New Britain
Interfering with a Search Warrant
Disposing of Liquor Without a Permit
Conspiracy to Dispose Liquor Without a Permit

Espedito Gonzalez, 44, of Waterbury
Disposing of Liquor Without a Permit
Conspiracy to Dispose Liquor Without a Permit
