The Waterbury Police Department we will have an Autism Safety and Registry Day on November 11 at the Waterbury Arts Magnet School, 16 South Elm Street, from 9:00 a.m. - noon. The Registry provides first responders with information about people in our community living with autism. The officers use the registry to know what triggers might upset or calm the person with autism.
The registry also shares information about what the person looks like, where they live, and who can be called in an emergency. The police can also use it to help find a person with autism if they are lost or missing.
