Day of Action to Stock the Pantry is United Way of Greater Waterbury’s annual food drive to ensure no one goes hungry during the summer. MacDermid Inc. Chief Operating Officer Frank Monteiro and his wife Sandy have teamed up with Waterbury Police and Fire Departments for a bit of friendly competition. Police and Fire will be competing against each other to collect the most food donations. We Need Your Help!

The public can drop off food donations at the Waterbury Police Department, PAL and the Community Relations Division until June 20, 2017.

Help us do our part to restock local food pantries which are in need of replenishing for the summer months. Thank you!

The Blue Mass dates back to 1934, when over 1000 Police and Fire personnel packed St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Washington, D.C. for the special occasion. Since the horrific events of September 11, 2001, this tradition has increased throughout the United States. The Blue Mass Provides a way for people of all faiths to come together to recognize the sacrifice of Police, Firefighters, EMS and Corrections Officers, and to remember those who have given their lives in service to our communities.
