Day of Action to Stock the Pantry is United Way of Greater Waterbury’s annual food drive to ensure no one goes hungry during the summer. MacDermid Inc. Chief Operating Officer Frank Monteiro and his wife Sandy have teamed up with Waterbury Police and Fire Departments for a bit of friendly competition. Police and Fire will be competing against each other to collect the most food donations. We Need Your Help!

The public can drop off food donations at the Waterbury Police Department, PAL and the Community Relations Division until June 20, 2017.

Help us do our part to restock local food pantries which are in need of replenishing for the summer months. Thank you!

The police department would like city residents to be reminded that June is Dog License Month in the State of Connecticut. Connecticut State Law requires dogs to be licensed every year during the month of June. Fees are $8 for spayed/neutered dogs and $19 for non-altered dogs. Current rabies vaccination, spay/neuter documentation (if applicable) and a check or money order made payable to Waterbury Town Clerk should be submitted to the Town Clerk’s office.

With the cold weather upon us please DO NOT leave your vehicles running unattended with the keys in the ignition. DO NOT leave your key fob in the vehicle if your vehicle is equipped with a push start feature.

This time of year we receive more stolen vehicle reports from people who are warming their vehicle with the keys in the ignition. This is also the case for people who leave their vehicles running unattended when they are going into a store/gas station.
